Polychain Capital has raised over $174 million for its debut venture fund, according to an SEC filing. No target was listed in the document. Polychain invests in cryptocurrency protocols and companies.
San Mateo, California-based PerimeterX, a cybersecurity firm, has secured $14 million as an extension of its previous Series C funding round, which brings the total tally to $57 million. The investors included Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, Salesforce Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, Adam Street Partners, Canaan Partners, Vertex Ventures and Data Collective.
T-Rex, a provider of analytics and data solutions for complex investments, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. Citi, the Westly Group and Viola Fintech led the round with participation from innogy and Macquarie Capital.
Atlanta-based Saltbox, a co-working space provider, has secured $3.2 million in funding. Village Global led the round with participation from other investors that included MetaProp, Arena Ventures and Kapor Capital.
Fyllo, a marketing tech platform for the cannabis industry, has raised US$16 million in seed funding. JW Asset Management and Canadian-based K2 & Associates led the round. In addition to the funding, Jason Klarreich, managing director of JW Asset Management, will join Fyllo's board of directors.
Redwood City, California-based Bolt Biotherapeutics, a biotech firm focused on treating cancer, has named Dr. Randall Schatzman as CEO and a member of the board of directors. Previously, he was CEO of Alder BioPharmaceuticals Inc. Bolt's backers included Novo Holdings, Pivotal bioVenture Partners, Vivo Capital and Nan Fung Life Sciences.
Sight Machine Inc, a digital manufacturing platform, has secured an investment from Sony Innovation Fund, Sony Corporation's venture capital arm. No financial terms were disclosed.
75F Inc, a provider of wireless building automation solutions for commercial buildings, has raised $18 million in Series A. Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Climate Initiative led the round with participation from Building Ventures, Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund and Clean Energy Trust.
Calcivis, a Scottish medical device company focused on managing tooth decay and preventive dentistry, has completed 4.5 million pounds in funding. Archangels, an Edinburgh-based business angel investment syndicate, led the round with participation from the Scottish Investment Bank.
CrowdBureau Corporation, a provider of a peer-to-peer lending and equity crowdfunding index, has raised $1.1 million in Series A funding. Clydagh Limited, Estuary Holdings Ltd and Alpama Limited led the round.
