Atlanta-based Kobiton, a mobile device cloud, has raised $5.2 million in new funding. BIP Capital led the round.
Tala, a microloan startup, has raised $110 million in Series D funding, according to a blog post on its site. RPS Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included GGV Capital, IVP, Revolution Growth, Lowercase Capital, Data Collective VC, ThomVest Ventures and PayPal Ventures. In addition to the funding, Kabir Misra, founding general partner at RPS Ventures, has been added to Tala’s board of directors.
New York City and Cleveland-based Fund That Flip, an online financing platform for the fix-and-flip residential real estate market, has raised $11 million in financing. Edison Partners led the round.
Houston-based Voyager, a provider of software for the bulk commodity shipping market, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding. ATX Venture Partners, Blue Bear Capital, GreenHawk Capital and Phaze Ventures led the round.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Oncorus Inc, an oncolytic virus company, has raised $79.5 million in Series B financing. Cowen Healthcare Investments and Perceptive Advisors led the round.
PTO Exchange, a flexible benefits platform, has secured $3 million in seed funding. The backer was WestRiver Group.
Fearless Fund has launched a $5 million venture fund. The fund invests in businesses owned by women of color. Arian Simone and Keshia Knight Pulliam are founding partners.
Novalis LifeSciences, an investment and advisory firm for the life science industry, has raised $85 million for its debut fund. Novalis LifeSciences Investments I LP will invest in eight to 12 companies "commercializing breakthrough technologies in various segments of the life science industry."
Silicon Valley-based Graybug Vision Inc, a clinical stage pharmaceutical company, has secured $80 million in Series C financing. CBC Group led the round with participation from other investors that included Deerfield Management, OrbiMed Advisors and Hatteras Venture Partners.
