Seattle-based Mason, a provider of mobile infrastructure for smart hardware products, has raised $25 million in Series A funding. Coatue Management led the round with participation from GGV Capital and Base10. In addition to the funding, Mason has added Thomas Laffont and Arielle Zuckerberg from Coatue to its board.
Virginia-based Imago Systems, a medical imaging company, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Mayo Clinic.
San Francisco-based Scoop Technologies, a provider of enterprise carpooling solutions, has raised $60 million in funding. Activate Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included NGP Capital, BNP Paribas, Total Ventures, Index Ventures, Signia Venture Partners, Workday Ventures and G2VP.
Palo Alto, California-based Talview, an artificial intelligence startup, has secured $6.75 million in Series A funding. The backers were Storm Ventures, Inventus Capital, Eileses Capital and Emergent Ventures.
AtriCure Inc has agreed to acquire Redwood City, California-based SentreHEART Inc, a developer of percutaneous left atrial appendage management solutions, for upwards of $300 million. The deal is expected to close in the next several days. SentreHEART's backers include Deerfield Management Company, U.S. Venture Partners, Prospect Ventures, Vivo Capital and Decheng Capital.
Kobo360, a Nigerian logistics startup, has secured $30 million in funding, according to a blog post on its site. Goldman Sachs led the round.
Plano, Texas-based Systum, a provider of digital operating software for small to medium-sized businesses, has raised $10.7 million in funding. Octopus Ventures led the round.
Renovacor Inc, a preclinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing gene therapy-based treatments for cardiovascular disease, has raised $11 million in Series A financing. Novartis Venture Fund, Broadview Ventures and BioAdvance led the round with participation from New Leaf Venture Partners and Innogest Capital.
Los Angeles-based Cinq Music, a music distribution, record label, and rights management company, has secured $40 million in Series C funding. The investor was GoDigital Media Group. The capital infusion will be used to buy music rights as well as for international expansion.
Brick & Mortar Ventures has closed its new fund at $97.2 million. Based in San Francisco, Brick & Mortar is a construction tech venture firm.
