Cocoon Capital, a Singapore-based venture firm, has named Martin Roll as external senior adviser. He is CEO of Martin Roll Company and has been a senior adviser to McKinsey & Company since 2015.
Wibbitz, an AI-powered video creation platform, has raised $20 million in Series C funding. Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments led the round with participation from other investors that included The Weather Channel, The Associated Press, TF1 Group, lool Ventures and Horizons Ventures.
Boston-based Alyce Inc, a provider of an AI-powered corporate gifting platform, has raised $5.3 million in financing. Boston Seed Capital led the round with participation from Founder Collective, General Catalyst, Manifest Investment Partners and Golden Venture Partners.
New York and Nairobi-based Gro Intelligence, an agricultural data analytics business used by investment professionals, major corporations, governments and international companies, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. TPG Growth led the round with participation from Data Collective and unnamed family offices.
Halo Labs, a cannabis oil processor, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Archytas Ventures LLC.
Aveni S.A., a French maker of wet deposition technologies and chemistries for 2D interconnects and 3D TSV packaging, has closed $10.5 million in Series B funding. The investors included Merck Ventures.
San Francisco-based Harness, a newly launched continuous delivery-as-a-service platform, has secured $20 million in Series A funding. Menlo Ventures and BIG Labs led the round.
Florida-based KnowBe4, a provider of a platform for security awareness training and simulated phishing attacks, has raised $30 million in funding. Goldman Sachs Growth Equity led the round with participation from return backer Elephant.
Grand Rapids, Michigan-based Blue Medora, a provider of cloud systems management solutions, has raised $8 million in funding. First Analysis led the round. In conjunction with the funding, Howard Smith, a managing director at First Analysis, is joining Blue Medora's board.
