UK-based Pireta, a smart textiles company, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding. The investor was Rainbow Seed Fund.
New York City-based Haystack Partners has raised $38 million for its initial venture fund, according to an SEC filing. The target is $50 million.
Tel Aviv-based PayKey, a social banking solution provider has raised $10 million in Series B funding. MizMaa led the round with participation from SBI Group, Digital Ventures, SixThirty and Fintech71.

Constructor.io, an on-site search company, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. Zetta Venture Partners led the round with participation from Signia Venture Partners.
UK media organization Guardian Media Group is planning on launching a venture fund at 42 million pounds. GMG Ventures will invest in early-stage media tech companies.
San Francisco-based Spoke, an internal request management platform, has raised a total of $28 million from two funding rounds, according to a blog post. The investors included Accel, Greylock, Felicis Ventures and Webb Investment Network.
Madison Reed, a hair color brand, has raised $25 million in financing. Comcast Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Norwest Venture Partners, True Ventures and Calibrate Ventures.
New York City and Los Angeles-based Snaps, a digital strategy firm, has secured $6 million in funding. The backer was Signal Peak Ventures. In addition to the funding, Brandon Tidwell, a partner and managing partner of Signal Peak Ventures, will join the Snaps board.
