Gobble, a provider of gourmet meal kits, has raised $10.75 in Series A funding. Trinity Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Andreessen Horowitz, Fenox VC and Initialized Capital. In conjunction with the funding. Ajay Chopra, a general partner at Trinity Ventures has been added to Gobble's board.
According to an SEC filing, U.S. Venture Partners has raised over $281 million for its 11th fund. In 2008, the Menlo Park, California-based venture firm, which invests mostly in information technology and healthcare, raised $625 million for its 10th fund, as previously reported by PE HUB.
Vancouver, British Columbia-based Elastic Path Software Inc, an enterprise commerce software provider, has raised C$10 million in funding. Yaletown Venture Partners and the BDC Venture Capital IT Fund led the round.
Canadian molecular diagnostics company Qvella has secured $20 million in Series A funding. RA Capital Management and Whitecap Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Hatteras Venture Partners and Sands Capital Ventures. According to the company, the capital infusion will be used for personnel hiring and product development.
San Francisco-based medical startup Enlitic is raising $10 million in Series B funding. Capitol Health is leading the round.
Aira.IO, a visual interpreter for the blind, has raised $790,000 in seed financing. Lux Capital and ARCH Venture Partners led the round.
Los Angeles-based Edtwist, a newly launched collaborative research platform, has secured an undisclosed amount of seed funding. The investors include Joanne Wilson of Gotham Gal, Rovi CFO Peter Halt, Luke Kallis, head of West Coast sales at Snapchat and Michael Lum, co-founder and CTO of Gradient.
Deutsche Telekom has formed Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments, a new venture capital unit that will make it faster and easier for startups to get funding. DTSI will encompass tech-focused venture fund T-Venture and Telekom Innovation Pool, another Deutsche Telekom fund.
Raycom Media has acquired Charleston, South Carolina-based PureCars, a digital advertising platform for the auto industry. No financial terms were disclosed. Progress Partners advised Raycom on the transaction. PureCars was backed by Gemini Investors and Stage 1 Ventures.
Latin America dating app Kickoff has raised $1.6 million in funding. The investor was Monashees Capital. In addition to the funding, the company has named Carlo Dapuzzo, a partner at Monashee, to its board.
