Chevron and Piva back energy storage company Malta

Chevron Technology Ventures and Piva Capital brings Malta's Series B round to more than $60m.

Cambridge, Massachusetts-based Malta, developing long-duration energy storage, announced that Chevron Technology Ventures and Piva Capital have joined its Series B round. The company announced in February it raised $50 million in Series B funding. Proman led the round with participation from Dustin Moskovitz, Alfa Laval and Breakthrough Energy Ventures. The latest funding increases the round to more than $60 million.
