Ciara bags seed funding

Ciara, a Germany-based virtual assistant for inside sales reps, has secured seven-digital seed funding UVC Partners led the round.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (July 10, 2019) – Ciara, the first virtual assistant for inside sales representatives, announced its roll out to the United States market today; after closing a successful seven-digit seed funding round in Germany and signing up hundreds of users on its platform earlier this year. Ciara saw a tremendous response in Europe and has maintained hundreds of active inside sales platform users since its market launch in May.

Ciara co-founders Martin Heibel and Konstantin Krauss, software entrepreneurs, opened up a US office in Silicon Valley to jumpstart US market entry to technology sales teams and to kick off their Series A funding round.

“The job market for inside sales representatives is growing by the day,” said Krauss. “In order for SaaS companies or other industries that generally sell remotely to have success, they must ramp their people up fast, provide them with sales resources and give them access to training. We are excited to offer Ciara to the market to help on all these fronts!”

Ciara helps sales representatives effectively conduct phone conversations without struggling to find the right answers or lose the thread. The Ciara assistant provides inside sales teams with interactive guides, proven playbooks, and smart objection handling, helping them to structure their phone conversations and increase success and productivity. Ciara plans to use additional funding to create the “Alexa for sales calls.” The assistant will understand the conversation in full and provide a broad range of real-time sales enablement skills to inside sales reps throughout their workday.

“The American market is important for the growth of Ciara,” said Heibel. “Every day new technology products are launched in the United States that require expert inside sales reps to sell them. With that type of growth happening, Ciara is a natural fit in the market as we are an easy to use, no risk technology solution with a proven track record of success. We plan to expand our investors to include American funders to fuel our ambition of developing a new category of productivity software for enterprises.”

Productivity assistants like Ciara are a radically new category of business software. These assistants are all about making life for people in daily business situations easier. With the Ciara inside sales assistant, that is possible with real-time supported phone conversations. Ciara helps employees and teams achieve a new level of productivity.
