GV leads $2m seed financing of web-based AI agent Cognosys

Vancouver-based Cognosys, a web-based artificial intelligence (AI) agent designed to enhance productivity and simplify complex tasks, has raised $2 million in seed financing.

The round was led by Sangeen Zeb, a general partner at GV (Google Ventures), the venture capital arm of Alphabet. Other investors included VGuillermo Rauch, CEO at Vercel, Amjad Masad, CEO at Replit, Aidan Gomez, CEO at Cohere, Ivan Zhang, CTO at Cohere, and Untapped VC.

The funds raised will be used by Cognosys for growth acceleration, team expansion, platform refinement and the enhancement of AI solutions, the company said.

Founded in 2009, GV invests in startup founders, typically in sectors like life sciences, consumer, enterprise, crypto, climate and other technology sectors.
