Venture growth investor G2 Venture Partners has promoted Jake Tauscher to partner.
Tauscher joined G2 full-time as an investor in 2020. He is a board observer at G2 portfolio companies Light Guide Systems, AiDash and Nikola Labs and helps lead the firm’s work on topics including artificial intelligence and machine learning, carbon markets, electrification and industrial decarbonization.
Prior to joining G2, Tauscher invested in large industrial companies at Advent International, working in diverse sectors including water, distribution, manufacturing and software. Before Advent, he worked in the operations group at a manufacturer and consulted with large industrial companies at Bain and Company.
He holds a BA in mathematics from Vanderbilt University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Tauscher “has driven investments in great companies and we look forward to his contributions over the coming years as our partner,” G2 founding partner Daniel Oros said in a statement.
