

François Gilbert has left his role as CEO of Anges Québec, a network of Quebec-based angel investors. Gilbert, who held the position since 2008, was replaced on an interim basis by Michel Lozeau. With more than 230 members, Anges Québec has to date invested more than $113 million in 161 Quebec companies.

Montreal, August 17, 2020 – The board of directors of Anges Québec announces the departure of François Gilbert as CEO of Anges Québec. Mr. Gilbert held the position of CEO from 2008 to 2020. During his mandate, he has been a pillar in the growth of the organization’s membership, which today has more than 230 members who have invested more than $113M in more than 161 Québec businesses with significant economic spinoffs. Mr. Gilbert is part of the builders of the Quebec ecosystem and the board of directors wishes to thank him for his engagement and his passion over the years.
Further to this departure, a recruiting process has been implemented and until the position has been filled, the board announces the appointment of Michel Lozeau as interim CEO of Anges Québec. Mr. Lozeau acted as vice-chairman of the Board of Directors and will report directly to it.
