“Googled” the Movie: Coming to a Theater Near You?

While the tech world buzzes about “The Social Network,” the highly awaited David Fincher film that centers on the rise of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Groundswell Productions and producer John Morris have nabbed the movie rights to Ken Auletta’s book “Googled: The End of the World As We Know it.”

According to Deadline New York, the book will serve as the foundation for a feature-length film about the rise of Sergey Brin and Larry Page from nerdy Stanford computer engineering students to billionaire leaders of the business world.

Said London to Deadline: “At a certain point in the evolution of a company so big and powerful, there are a million challenges to that mandate. Can you stay true to principles like that as you become as rich and powerful as that company has become?”

Evan Williams, Biz Stone: are you ready to see your own story on the big screen? If Hollywood’s appetite holds, you may be next.
