Headline, an early-stage tech investor, has bolstered its investment team with four new vice presidents.


The San Francisco-based firm recently hired Matt Brown as a VP for its consumer tech investment team. Previously, Brown worked at The Chernin Group, where he led investments in businesses such as Dapper Labs, Sketchy, Lovevery and Goldin. In his new role, Brown will work alongside partner Jett Fein.
Headline also promoted three senior associates to vice president: Taylor Brandt, Jacob Conger and Nicolas Von Blottniz.
Brandt, who focuses on B2B vertical SaaS, is based in New York; Conger who focuses on infrastructure SaaS, is based in San Francisco; and Nicolas Von Blottnitz, who leads the firm’s investment research team and focuses on B2B tech investing, is based “around the world,” Headline said.
Headline is investing out of three new early-stage funds totaling of $954 million that it closed on last year, Venture Capital Journal previously reported. Headline US VII is a $408 million fund based in San Francisco, while Headline EU VI is a €320 million pan-Europe-focused fund based in Berlin and Headline Brazil III is a 915 million reais ($169 million) Latin America-focused fund based in Sao Paulo.
