ID verification startup Trulioo raises $394m in funding: Reuters

Trulioo, a Vancouver-based electronic identity and address verification platform, has secured $394 million (C$476 million) in financing.

Trulioo, a Vancouver-based electronic identity and address verification platform, has secured $394 million (C$476 million) in financing, Reuters reported. The round, which valued Trulioo at $1.75 billion, was led by TCV, with participation from Amex Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Citi Ventures and Mouro Capital. The deal comes as covid-19 accelerated the digitization of businesses and e-commerce and financial companies need ways to verify customers’ identities for secure transactions.
