Index Ventures raises $3.1bn

The Switzerland-based venture and growth equity firm has closed on three funds.

Index Ventures, an investor in Confluent and Robinhood, has raised a combined $3.1 billion across three funds, according to a recent press release by the firm. The early-stage vehicle Index Ventures XI raised $900 million, the sixth growth vehicle Index Ventures Growth VI raised $2 billion, while its first seed fund, Index Origin, has raised $200 million in commitments.

The seed fund was initially introduced in April 2021.

Capital raised by the funds will be used to invest in tech start-ups.
