Insurtech startup Scription collects C$2.5m in financing

Scription, an Edmonton-based insurance technology company, has raised C$2.5 million in financing.

Markd led the round. Other investors included Greenlight Re, Connetic Ventures, Sidedoor Ventures, Ank Partners, Hustle Fund and Startup TNT.

Scription leverages disruptive technology and domain expertise to help companies launch new aftermarket service programs. Its platform uses historical maintenance data to intelligently price and offer insurance for maintenance contracts unique to individual pieces of equipment.

The round’s proceeds will support Scription’s pricing platform launch and the onboarding of anchor customer brands.
