Ironspring adds principal, platform head and finance head

Ironspring Ventures targets early-stage investments in construction, manufacturing, transport and logistics, and alternative energy.

Ironspring Ventures has hired Colleen Konetzke as principal, Stephanie Volk as head of platform and David Perretz as head of finance.

“We are excited to quickly expand the Ironspring Ventures team with such high caliber talent,” said Ty Findley, co-founder and general partner at Ironspring Ventures, in a statement. “Colleen, Stephanie and Dave all bring both deep digital industrial domain expertise and leading edge functional expertise that will take our firm’s venture capital investment and operational capabilities to the next level.”

Prior to Ironspring, Konetzke spent several years in management consulting at Bain & Company, specializing in public utilities. She has also completed internships at Edison International and G2 Venture Partners (in addition to Ironspring).

Volk’s background includes stints at GE Ventures in platform and commercial development and, most recently, at the National Venture Capital Association.

An army veteran, Perretz has an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School.
