Mendoza Jumps to Union Square Advisors

Elias Mendoza has joined Union Square Advisors as a partner in its New York office. Mendoza, most recently, was VP and global head of corporate development at IBM.

Union Square Advisors LLC, a leading technology-focused investment bank, announced today that Elias Mendoza has joined the firm as a Partner in its New York office. Mr. Mendoza most recently was Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Development at IBM. In this role at IBM, Mr. Mendoza was Chairman of IBM’s Global Acquisitions Committee and led the organizations that identified, executed and integrated all acquisitions, investments and divestitures for the company on a worldwide basis. Prior to that, Mr. Mendoza spent three years in Asia as the Managing Director for IBM’s acquisitions and investments in that region.

Mr. Mendoza’s previous experience also includes over 12 years at Morgan Stanley & Co., most recently as an Executive Director in the Investment Banking Division. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Mendoza served in New York, London and Tokyo and was involved in a wide range of cross-border mergers and acquisitions activity with major multi-national corporations and private equity firms.
