MovieLaLa wraps up seed round

San Francisco-based MovieLaLa, which operates a social network for fans of movies and provides marketing platform for movie distributors, has now raised $1.4 million in seed-stage commitments, thanks to a bevy of entertainment media moguls. Investors include Jonathan Miller, former CEO at NewsCorp and AOL; Jay Rasulo, former CFO of The Walt Disney Company; David Anderman, former COO of LucasFilm; Jim Wyatt, former CEO of William Morris Endeavor; and Gregory Milken from the philanthropic Milken Family in Los Angeles.

MovieLaLa co-founder and CEO Dana Loberg said the latest round of angel investment closes out the company’s seed round.
