Octopus Investments is seeking to raise £40 million ($51 million) for a pre-seed deep tech venture fund.
The fund will invest in technology emerging from the UK and Europe’s most forward-looking research centers and university hubs.
Zoe Reich and Rubina Singh are serving as general partners of the fund.
“Building a sustainable planet will require much greater investment in atoms and less investment in bytes,” Reich said in a statement. “Only the combination of hardware and software innovation will tackle this global challenge.”
Octopus Investments is part of the Octopus Group, an investment firm for investors who believe their money can be a force for good.
