Outlier raises $22.1m led by Emergence

Oakland-based Outlier has raised $22.1 million in a Series B round of funding led by Emergence, with participation from existing investors Ridge Ventures, 11.2 Capital, First Round Capital, Homebrew, Susa Ventures and SV Angel.

Oakland-based Outlier, provider of analytic solutions to help businesses uncover insights in unexpected data behavior, announced it has raised $22.1 million in a Series B round of funding led by Emergence, with participation from existing investors Ridge Ventures, 11.2 Capital, First Round Capital, Homebrew, Susa Ventures and SV Angel. As part of the round, Joe Floyd, general partner at Emergence, has joined the board.

Outlier was founded in 2015 and previously raised $8.6 million in funding. The company said it would use the latest funding to grow across its offices in Oakland, Virgina Beach, Virginia, and in Europe.
