Proptech company Awning emerges from stealth

The San Francisco company emerges from stealth with $9.3m in funding led by Global Founders Capital.

San Francisco-based Awning, which provides a tech platform and brokerage for real estate investing, emerged from stealth and announced it has raised $9.3 million in funding led by Global Founders Capital.

Others participating in the round included MassMutual Ventures and several strategic angel investors, such as Side co-founders Guy Gal and Ed Wu, SafeGraph founder Auren Hoffman, Scale founder Lucy Guo, Opendoor’s former VP of analytics Peter Fishman, and Lightspeed Ventures Partner Justin Overdorff, among others.
