SES, a maker of next-generation Li-Metal rechargeable batteries for electric vehicles, has raised $139 million in Series D funding. General Motors led the round with participation from other investors that included SK Inc., Temasek, Applied Ventures LLC, Shanghai Auto and Vertex.
