Venture capitalists invested $7.1 billion in the third quarter, according to MoneyTree data released today by PricewaterhouseCoopers, The National Venture Capital Association and Thomson Financial. This represented a slight decrease from the $7.2 billion raised in Q2, but a rise over the $6.8 billion invested in Q3 2006.
