PRESS RELEASE
San Francisco, CA – April 27, 2020– SignalFire today announced the expansion of its leadership team with former TechCrunch editor-at-large Josh Constine joining as Principal on the venture team and new Head of Content.
“Josh is one of the most prolific tech journalists in Silicon Valley, and understands storytelling from a founder perspective,” said Chris Farmer, CEO and founder of SignalFire. “We’ve known Josh for a number of years and he’s informally advised a number of our companies with amazing feedback. We’re thrilled to now have him as part of the team, full time. His unique lens will be important to our firm as we invest more heavily in content, and lean on his expertise and strong network of entrepreneurs and investors.”
Josh is a 10-year tech journalism veteran and currently ranks as #1 on Techmeme’s leaderboard, where he’s topped the list of the most influential and prolific writers in technology in every year since 2016. Constine previously designed his own Master’s degree in Cybersociology at Stanford, and was the lead writer of Inside Facebook through its acquisition in 2011 by WebMediaBrands Inc. An experienced speaker and moderator, Josh has conducted more than 190 on-stage interviews including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whistleblower Edward Snowden and U.S. Senator Cory Booker. While leading SignalFire’s content, Constine’s role will grow to encompass investing in new deals as well.
“I’ve been impressed by SignalFire’s model combining in-house technology that helps portfolio companies to recruit and connect with customer prospects with a vast advisor network that’s incentivized to offer assistance,” said Constine.
“SignalFire is a fund that’s itself a startup with a story worth telling. I look forward to working even more closely with entrepreneurs to find tomorrow’s great companies, refine their pitches, and accelerate their impact.”
