After serving as the lead investor for Dispo’s recent $20 million Series A funding, Spark Capital said it is cutting ties with the photo-sharing app following rape allegations made against an associate of co-founder and YouTube star David Dobrik, reported Business Insider. The associate, Dominykas Zeglaitis, is a member of Dobrik’s “Vlog Squad,” a  moniker that refers to his group of collaborators. The news outlet noted that since the allegations were made, several key backers of Dobrik’s YouTube channel, which include DoorDash, Dollar Shave Club and EA Sports, have also severed ties with him. The resulting backlash has caused Dobrik to resign from Dispo.
