Stock trading app Robinhood has raised $1 billion in funding, reported Business Insider citing a New York Times report. The investors were not named. The funding news comes on the heels of Robinhood being at the center of a story that pertained to a surge of trading on its platform involving a number of stocks, such as GameStop, which were the targets “of short squeezes” driven largely by a group on Reddit.
