Threshold Ventures posts interim close on $250m targeted fund

Early-stage investor Threshold Ventures, formerly known as DFJ, has raised more than $146m from 20 investors for a fund targeting $250m.

Threshold Ventures, the early-stage firm formerly known as DFJ, has raised more than $146 million for its new fund, according to a regulatory filing. The filing reported that 20 investors committed to the vehicle, which is targeted at $250 million.

Listed on the Threshold filing are managing partners Emily Melton and Josh Stein.

The fund is called Threshold Ventures III although it is the first fund raised since the firm was renamed in early 2019. DFJ last raised a $350 million 12th fund for early-stage investments in 2016. DFJ Growth maintains its name and is managed by separate partners.
