Trident Capital Promotes Shaikh

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Trident Capital has promoted Taimur Shaikh to vice president. Shaikh joined Trident Capital in 2010 after graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Earlier in his career he held positions as Oak Hill Capital Partners and Lehman Brothers.

Most recently, Shaikh was integrally involved in the firm’s investments in Advanced ICU Care and HealthMEDX, where he is a board observer. He will continue to focus on the firm’s late-stage investment efforts, with an emphasis on the Healthcare IT and Education IT sectors.

 

Shaikh joined Trident Capital in 2010 after graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to business school, he was an investment professional at Oak Hill Capital Partners and an investment banker at Lehman Brothers. Shaikh holds a B.A. in Business/Economics from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
