Twig Fertility secures C$8m in Rhino Ventures-led Series A round

• The round’s proceeds will help Twig accelerate its growth as the company seeks to recruit more fertility specialists and expand its footprint in Canada

• Vancouver-based Rhino Ventures leads financing for early-stage businesses in Canada

Twig Fertility, a Toronto-based technology startup focused on the Canadian fertility and reproductive health market, has secured C$8 million in Series A financing.

Rhino Ventures, a Canadian venture capital firm, led the round.

Twig opened its flagship location in midtown Toronto in 2022 and today offers in-vitro fertilization, egg freezing, intrauterine insemination, LGBTQ2S-plus family building, fertility checks, comprehensive reproductive genetic counselling, reproductive urology, and mental health and wellness support.

The round’s proceeds will help Twig accelerate its growth as the company seeks to recruit and retain additional fertility specialists and expand its footprint in Canada. The funds raised will also support the development of Twig’s technology platform.

“Canada has the lowest per capita use of fertility treatments in the G7, and we believe that is directly related to accessibility and cost,” said Jay Rhind, a partner at Rhino Ventures, in a statement. “Twig Fertility’s vision for personalized care and their dedication to improving patient outcomes addresses a critical need in the Canadian market.”

Rhino Ventures leads financing for early-stage businesses in Canada. With its headquarters in Vancouver, the firm has more than C$200M under management.
