VC-backed Aceable appoints one as CFO and another as finance VP

Austin-based Aceable, a provider of digital high-stakes education, has named Justin Kvasnicka as chief financial officer and Nancy Spencer as vice president of finance. Previously, Kvasnicka worked at RetailMeNot while Spencer worked at Google. Aceable is backed by Sageview Capital, Silverton Partners, Floodgate Fund, Next Coast Venture Partners, Wildcat Venture Partners, Nextgen Partners and the Capital Factory Fund.



Aceable, the leader in digital high-stakes education, today announced the hiring of Justin Kvasnicka as Chief Financial Officer and Nancy Spencer as Vice President of Finance. Mr. Kvasnicka and Ms. Spencer, who are both proven financial leaders with accomplished backgrounds, will work together to oversee the company’s aggressive growth plan to further expand its driving and real estate products nationwide. In addition, the company is also exploring new industry verticals.

Prior to joining Aceable, Justin Kvasnicka spent over five years at RetailMeNot, Inc.—a leading coupon aggregator and savings destination that connects businesses with consumers—where he served as Vice President, Corporate & Business Development, as well as the CFO of the company’s Gift Card segment. He also worked at Capital Southwest Corporation, a private equity and venture capital firm, and at J.P. Morgan, where he was an Investment Banking Analyst. Kvasnicka earned his MBA from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business and his BBA from Texas A&M University.

Nancy Spencer spent nearly three years at Google, serving as an Operational Controller and a Google Fiber Regional Finance Lead. Prior to her time there, she spent over 10 years at Ernst & Young, where she was a Senior Manager, Assurance Services. An experienced accounting and finance leader, Spencer has a demonstrated history of working in multiple industries with a focus in tech and real estate. She received both her BBA and MPA from the University of Texas at Austin’s Red McCombs School of Business.
