VC-backed DocuSign adds HP’s Hinshaw to board

San Francisco-based electronic signature company DocuSign has appointed John Hinshaw to its board of directors. Hinshaw is the executive vice president of technology and operations at HP. DocuSign’s backers include Samsung Ventures, BBVA Ventures, Accel Partners, Google Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Ignition Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sapphire Ventures and Scale Venture Partners.

(DocuSign®) announced that John Hinshaw, EVP of Technology & Operations at HP, will join DocuSign’s Board of Directors as an independent director. John Hinshaw joined HP in 2011 and oversees the company’s global operations, including information technology, business process management, sales operations, procurement, business shared services, and real estate. He also leads relationships with some of HP’s largest customer accounts.

Prior to HP, John led the Information Solutions business unit and served as Chief Information Officer at The Boeing Company. John also spent 14 years at Verizon where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.
John serves on the board of directors for BNY Mellon, the National Academy Foundation, and at Clique Intelligence. He holds a BBA in computer information systems from James Madison University.
