Waller-Sutton Management Group –

NEW YORK – Waller-Sutton Management Group Inc. invests in early- to growth-stage media, communications and entertainment companies throughout the United States.

The firm was launched in 1997 by Cathy Brienza and William Ingram, founders of the investment management firm Sutton Capital, and Andrew Armstrong, president of the investment bank Waller Capital. Both Waller and the now defunct Sutton specialized in cable and wireless investments.

All three founders combined their operating experience and extensive contacts in the communication industry to form Waller-Sutton, which is led by principal and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Hernandez, former chief financial officer of Horizon Cellular Group.

Waller-Sutton Media Partners L.P. held a $104 million final close in December 1998. The vehicle, which is 53% committed, invests $2 million to $11 million per round in early-stage Internet, television, cable, networking, publishing and radio companies.

Limited partners consist of industry executives from Cablevision Industries, Comcast Corp. and Hearst Co., as well as financial institutions, foundations, funds-of-funds and high-net-worth individuals.
