137 Ventures in San Francisco promoted two on its team as it looks to hire four more. The firm told Venture Capital Journal it promoted James Pardee from associate to senior associate. Ali Smith was promoted from analyst to associate.
Prior to joining 137 Ventures in 2017, Pardee covered internet companies as an equity research associate at Raymond James. Smith previously worked as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan, where she worked on equity private placements in technology, consumer, and healthcare industries.
The growth-stage venture firm’s largest holdings include SpaceX, Wish, Flexport, Gusto, RigUp and Curology and its exits include Uber, Eventbrite, Spotify and SolarCity. The firm said it is currently hiring an analyst for their investment team and is looking to fill three other positions.
