BlueRun Ventures Asia, the China and Korea-based division of BlueRun Ventures, is raising $350 million for BRV Aster Fund III and $150 million for BRV Aster Fund Opportunity Fund II, according to regulatory filings. First sale is yet to occur.
The Asian division is led by General Partners Jui Tan in China and Kwan Yoon in Korea. The firm maintains offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul.
BlueRun Ventures Asia invests in early-stage software, mobile, new media and semiconductor investments throughout Asia.
Notable exists include Ganji which was acquired by 58.com in 2015.
The Menlo Park, California-based BlueRun Ventures was co-founded by General Partner John Malloy and is known for its investments in PayPal, Waze and Coupa.
