CrowdStrike Inc and Accel have launched Falcon Fund, a $20 million early-stage investment fund. The fund will focus on making seed and Series A investments in startups that are building applications on the CrowdStrike Falcon platform.
Groups360, an online marketplace for meetings, has raised $50 million in funding. The investors were Accor, Hilton, IHG and Marriott International.
Florida-based Kin Insurance, an insurance startup, has secured $47 million in funding. The investors included Avanta, HSCM Bermuda and UChicago Startup Investment Program.
Boston-based FIGUR8, a digital health platform that measures and tracks body movement as a biomarker, has raised $7.5 million in seed funding. P5 Health Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included E14 Fund.
Algo Capital has closed its venture fund at $200 million, beating its $100 million target. Algo VC Fund will invest in businesses that are building on the Algorand technology platform. The fund's backers include Brainchild, NGC Ventures, Arrington XRP Capital, Eterna Capital, GSR, Cognitive Blockchain, Rokk3r Inc, Wibson, 11-11 Ventures, DG Ventures, Winslow Strong and Invermaster.
Axonius, a cybersecurity asset management company, has raised $20 million in Series B funding. OpenView led the round with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, YL Ventures, Vertex, WTI and Emerge. In addition to the funding, Mackey Craven, partner at OpenView, has joined the Axonius board of directors.
San Francisco-based Luma Health, a patient engagement platform, has secured $16 million in Series B funding. PeakSpan Capital led the round.
Universal Labs is seeking to raise $50 million for its opportunity fund. The fund will focus on investing in the development of natural medicines that prevent and treat cancer.
Sunnyvale, California-based Platform9, a provider of SaaS-managed hybrid cloud, has raised $25 million in Series D funding. NGP Capital led the round.
SE Ventures, a new Silicon Valley-based firm backed by Schneider Electric, has named Grant Allen and Varun Jain as senior partners. Allen joins SEV from ABB where he led global ventures while Jain previously worked at Qualcomm Ventures where he led the global early-stage practice.
