Seattle-based Loftium, a provider of down payments for renting out spare bedrooms on Airbnb, has raised $2.5 million in funding, according to a source familiar with the transaction. DFJ led the round with participation from Founders Co-op and NextView Ventures.
Celcuity Inc, a cellular analysis company, has gone public after pricing its 2.4 million shares at $9.50 per share. The stock began trading September 20, 2017 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "CELC." Craig-Hallum Capital Group LLC is the underwriter. Celcuity's backers include Brightstone Venture Capital.
Securonix, a provider of big data security analytics, has raised $29 million in Series A funding. Volition Capital led the round with participation from Eight Road Ventures. In addition to the funding, Roger Hurwitz of Volition Capital will join the Securonix board of directors.
Patreon, an artist funding platform, has secured $60 million in Series C funding, according to a blog post by CEO Jack Conte. Thrive Capital led the round with participation from Index Ventures, CRV, Freestyle and DFJ, said a spokesperson for the firm.
Despegar.com, a Latin American online travel provider, has debuted its IPO after pricing its 12.77 million shares at $26 per share. The stock began trading under the ticker symbol "DESP" on the New York Stock Exchange on September 20, 2017. Morgan Stanley and Citigroup are the lead underwriters. Despegar's pre-IPO backers include Tiger Global Management LLC, General Atlantic, Sequoia Capital, Insight Venture Partners and Accel Partners Management.
Singapore-based Luno, a bitcoin wallet and exchange, has secured $9 million in Series B funding, according to a blog post. Balderton Capital led the round.
Chicago-based Clearcover, a car insurance provider, has raised $11.5 million in funding. Lightbank led the round with participation from other investors that included Greycroft Partners, 500 Startups and Silicon Valley Bank.
Los Angeles-based Mira, a mobile augmented reality company, has secured $1 million in funding. Greylock Partners, Founders Fund Angel and Macro Ventures led the round.
New York City and San Francisco-based Citizen, a crime tracker app, has raised $12 million in Series A funding, according to TechCrunch. Sequoia Capital led the round, said the tech news site.
ClearMetal, a predictive logistics company, has secured $9 million in Series A funding. Prelude Ventures and Innovation Endeavors led the round with participation from other investors that included New Enterprise Associates.
