Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Strata Oncology, a precision medicine company, has closed $12 million in Series A funding. Arboretum Ventures and Baird Capital led the round with participation from return backer Michigan eLab.

Upfront Ventures led the round with participation from Breakwater Investment Management, Time Inc., Downey Ventures, M13 and Sterling.VC. In conjunction with the funding, Greg Bettinelli, a partner at Upfront Ventures, has been added to Loot Crate's board of directors.

Notion, a Denver-based provider of home awareness products, has raised $3.2 million in seed funding. The investors included XL Innovate, and Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures. In addition to the funding, Martha Notaras, a partner at XL Innovate, has been added to Notion's board of directors.
Next Frontier Capital, a Bozeman, Montana-based venture firm, has closed its debut fund at over $21 million. The fund's focus is on Montana tech and healthcare companies. According to the firm, it has already made undisclosed investments in three unidentified Montana companies in the biotech, software and clean water tech sectors.
NantHealth Inc, a personalized healthcare company, has priced 6.5 million shares of its IPO at $14 per share. The stock began trading June 2 on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol "NH." Jefferies LLC and Cowen and Company LLC are serving as lead underwriters. NantHealth's backers include Kuwait Investment Authority and Verizon Ventures.
