PRESS RELEASE
Mixmax announced today that it has raised $10.35M from Carl Fritjofsson of Creandum (lead investors of Spotify and, Klarna), Jason Lemkin of SaaStr (lead investor in Talkdesk, Algolia). Prior seed investors also joined the round, led by Michael Dearing, Harrison Metal (lead investor in Heroku, Admob) and Floodgate (investors in Twitter and IFTTT).
“Email is the default communications channel for talking across organizational boundaries, but it wasn’t designed for business – we’re fixing that.” said Olof Mathé, CEO and Co-founder of Mixmax.
Mixmax has reached over 10,000 customers with its web and chrome app, all without a single dollar of marketing spend, by turning the email inbox into a web-based software platform for sales, recruitment and success teams.
“We have solved a simple but all too common problem for people in customer-facing roles – knowing when to talk to which contact and how to reach them most effectively. Best of all, you don’t need to change anything in your existing workflow to reap the benefits since we sit on top of your existing tool chain” said Mathé.
Mixmax consolidates all the features you need to engage customers and candidates in an easy to use package, rather than bolting together disparate products and add-ons.
A few examples include letting you communicate quickly and richly by automating scheduling, embedding videos directly within email, eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth and setting up automated workflows that follow up intelligently for you. Mixmax also syncs back intelligently to your CRM and ATS, and rather than just being a system of record, proposes what action you should take to succeed.
The funding will go toward growing the team from 18 to 50 people, adding support for new platforms like Outlook & Exchange, launching a mobile interface and accelerating growth.
“Many customers think of Mixmax as their chief of staff, and we look forward to giving both you and your entire team the intelligent, data-driven advice you need to grow your business,” said Mathé.
