VC Investment Pace Levels Off

Second quarter VC investment data was released over the weekend, from the MoneyTree Three of PricewaterhouseCoopers, National Venture Capital Association and Thomson Reuters (publisher of peHUB). As expected, it looked sluggish.

Venture capitalists disbursed $7.44 billion to 986 U.S.-based companies, which is a hair lower than the $7.5 billion disbursed in Q1. It’s the lowest quarter since Q2 of last year, when $7.37 billion went to 1,031 companies. Silicon Valley kept its traditional spot way atop the regional leaderboard, with New England continuing to hang on to second place. Here’s all the data for your downloading pleasure:
