Web recruiting company Jobillico nets $8 mln in CRCD-led round

Québec City-based web recruiting company Jobillico has raised $8 million in financing. The investors included Capital régional et cooperatif Desjardins (CRCD), a retail fund managed by Desjardins Capital de risque. Founded in 2007, Jobillico provides an online recruitment solution that matches employers with a pool of potential hires. At present, some 650,000 Canadian job seekers use its platform, the company said. Jobillico will use the funding to back its “westward expansion”, including further growth in Ontario. The company opened a Toronto office in 2015. The funds will also support product development and strengthening of Jobillico’s market position in Québec.


Jobillico raises $ 8 million to fuel growth and innovation

The fastest growing web recruiting company in Canada has secured financing to drive its expansion nation-wide.

QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 1, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ – Jobillico, the acknowledged leader on the recruiting market in the province of Québec, is announcing a financing agreement to drive its westward expansion. Jobillico has teamed up with Capital régional et cooperatif Desjardins, a subsidiary of the Desjardins cooperative financial group. The investment will total $ 8 million, some of it from private investors.

It will also allow us to further develop our products and technologies and tailor them to our clients’ needs as well as strengthen our position of leadership in Québec” said Serge Lavallée, Jobillico’s Finance VP and cofounder.

The results say it all: 6000 businesses in Canada have now adopted the solution, 650,000 job seekers use Jobillico and the platform gets more than 16 million visitors per year. Since the grand opening of its Toronto office last fall, the company has already cumulated 600 clients on its network.
