WSJ: Bain Buying 3Com

Bain Capital and Huawei Technologies Co. have agreed to acquire telecom equipment company 3Com Corp. (Nasdaq: COMS), according to The Wall Street Journal. The deal would be valued at more than $2 billion, with 3Com shareholders to receive in excess of $5 per share. Bain would take the majority stake, with Chinese networking company Huawei acquiring a minority position. www.3com.com
