Assa Abloy has acquired San Francisco-based August Home Inc, a provider of smart locks and smart home access products and services. No financial terms were disclosed. August Home's backers included Qualcomm Ventures, Maveron, Comcast Ventures, SPDG and Bessemer Venture Partners, according to Crunchbase.

Data security company Enveil has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was In-Q-Tel.

Tel Aviv-based Ironscales, an automated phishing prevention, detection and response provider, has secured $6.5 million in Series A funding. K1 Investment Management LLC led the round with participation from return backer RDC.

New York City-based VirtualHealth, a provider of population health and care management technologies, has secured $7 million in funding. Edison Partners led the round.

Massachusetts-based SQZ Biotech, a preclinical stage biotechnology company, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was JDRF T1D Fund.

UK-based 4NEW, an operator of waste to energy treatment plants, has secured $30.5 million in funding. The investors in this round were not named.

Sonim Technologies, a maker of smart phones, has raised $37 million in funding. The investor was Riley Financial Inc.

Greenlight Planet Inc, a solar home energy company, has raised $60 million in funding. Apis Partners led the round with participation from Eight Roads Ventures and Bamboo Capital Partners. 

Belgium-based NGDATA, a provider of customer experience management solutions, has raised over $19 million in Series C funding. HPE Growth Capital led the round with participation from other investors that included Idinvest Partners, Pamica, SmartFin Capital, Capricorn Venture Partners and Nausicaa Ventures.

Spartanburg, South Carolina-based Integrated Biometrics, a maker of FBI-certified fingerprint sensors, has raised $2 million in funding. The investors were not named.
