Geothermal energy startup Dandelion has raised $4.5 million in funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from BoxGroup, Daniel Yates, Ground Up, Borealis Ventures, Collaborative Fund and ZhenFund.
Boston-based PreVeil, a provider of private and protected email and files for businesses, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding. The investor was Spark Capital.

San Francisco-based Pipefy, an operations excellence platform that deploys back-office processes without IT support, has raised $16 million in Series A funding. OpenView and Trinity Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Redpoint eventures, Valor Capital, 500 Startups and Founders Fund.
Spring Labs, a creator of a blockchain-based network, has raised $14.75 million in seed funding. August Capital led the round with participation from Victory Park Capital, GreatPoint Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Multicoin Capital, Wavemaker Genesis (part of the Draper Venture Network), and Jump Capital.
Remesh, an artificial intelligence-focused software company, has raised $10 million in Series A funding. General Catalyst led the round with participation from LionBird Ventures, North Coast Angel Fund and Techstars Ventures.
San Francisco-based Kenna Security, a provider of predictive cyber risk solutions, has secured $25 million in Series C funding. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from US Venture Partners, Costonoa Ventures, PeakSpan Capital, Hyde Park Angels and OurCrowd. In addition to the funding, Alex Ferrara, a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, will join Kenna's board of directors.
Circular Wave Drive, a maker of compact speed-reducing gears for robotics and applications, has raised $2 million in seed funding. The company's investors include Ikove Venture Partners.
Columbus, Ohio-based Root Insurance, a car insurance company, has raised $51 million in Series C funding. Redpoint Ventures led the round with participation from Scale Venture Partners, Ribbit Capital and Silicon Valley Bank Capital Partners.
Lehi, Utah-based Canopy, a cloud-based practice management platform for tax and accounting professionals, has secured $30 million in financing. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from Wells Fargo Strategic Capital, Pelion Ventures, University Growth Fund and EPIC Ventures.
