Dublin and New York-based LetsGetChecked, a medical health testing platform, has raised $12 million in Series A funding. Optum Ventures and Qiming Venture Partners led the round.
Valohai, a machine learning platform-as-a-service company, has secured $1.8 million in funding. Superhero Capital led the round with participation from Reaktor Ventures and Business Finland, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation.
Singapore-based Bluzelle, a blockchain-based database provider, has secured $1 million in funding. The investor was NEO Global Capital.
San Francisco-based Moogsoft, a provider of artificial intelligence for IT operations, has named Ranvir Wadera as vice president of engineering and Udi Gotlieb as vice president of product marketing. Wadera and Gotlieb were formerly with Splunk and ServiceNow, respectively. Moogsoft's backers include Goldman Sachs, HCL, Northgate Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Singtel Innov8, STTelemedia and Wing VC.
San Francisco-based BetterUp, a leadership development platform, has raised $26 million in Series B funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round with participation from return backers DFJ, Freetyle Capital and Crosslink Capital.
Austin, Texas-based SpyCloud, a cybersecurity company, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. The investors were Silverton Partners and March Capital Partners.
Palo Alto, California-based Arraiy, a computer vision and machine learning platform for the motion picture and television industry, has raised over $10 million in Series A funding. Lux Capital and Softbank Ventures led the round with participation from Dentsu Ventures, Cherry Tree Investments, IDG Capital and CRCM Ventures.
Los Angeles-based Relativity Space, a 3D printing startup, has raised $35 million in Series B financing. Playground Global led the round with participation from Social Capital, Y Combinator Continuity and Mark Cuban.
Santa Monica, California-based Fastdata.io, a real-time stream processing company, has raised $5 million in seed funding. CrossCut and Pelion Venture Partners led the round with participation from return backer NVIDIA.
Vancouver and Berkeley, California-based BriaCell Therapeutics Corp (TSX-V: BCT), an immuno-oncology-focused biotechnology company, has raised about $5.3 million in financing. According to details of a non-brokered private placement, BriaCell sold over 43 million shares of the company at $0.10 per share. In addition to this deal, BriaCell raised US$800,000 (about $1 million) in a brokered private placement. The U.S. life sciences investors included Brio Capital Master Fund, Efrat Investments and Mario Family Partners. The proceeds will be used to fund BriaCell's Phase-2a clinical trial, to pursue research opportunities, and for other priorities.
